AC College of Technology (Alagappa Chettiar College Of Engineering And Technology) is located at Karaikudi in Chennai, close to Madurai and Trichy. Named after Dr. R.M. Alagappa Chettiar, this Chennai College of technology offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in a variety of disciplines in engineering and technological applications. AC College of Technology, Chennai started its PG courses only in the year 2002-03.

AC College of Technology library is proud of its enticing collection of 36000 regular books. The students can access reference books from the separate reference section of the library. The reference section also offers a plethora of magazines and periodicals, apart from reference books. The library also subsists a section specially meant for Certifications and higher studies. This particular section accommodates books for certifications from SUN, CISCO & BRAIN BENCH.

Apart from this main library, each department in the college supports its departmental library.

Hostel: AC College of Technology, Chennai has 4 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls. The amenities are perfect enough to give the boarders comfortable living experience. The Principal of the college handles the responsibilities of the hostel warden. The Deputy Wardens are in-charge of amenities in their respective hostels.

The departments also organize interviews for the pre-final year and final year students for direct entrance into the Indian Navy under the University Entry Scheme.
