How to get student ATM card

To get a student ATM card you need to open a savings account in any of the above banks of India. The minimum deposit to open a savings account would be Rs. 500 though most of the banks do allow to maintain the balance as 0 though there is minor fine being imposed if the balance goes down the minimum allowed.

Documents required for getting ATM Card for Students

• In order to open student saving account you need a college ID card, a passport size photograph (or two) and a duly filled application form of saving's account. Address proof is not required for students account.
• Make sure that you specify that you need an ATM CARD along with check book facility.

After the submission of all the above documents, you will be given a Bank passbook, a check book and an ATM card within 3 to 4 working days. This complete kit will contain your ATM card’s pin in an envelope. You should keep this four digit pin of your ATM card confidential and away from others reach.

Online Application for Student ATM Card

Log on to any of the following websites, and click on the savings bank account link. You will get an online application. Now you can take a print out of it and fill the form, then submit it to the nearby bank branch with all the other documents.

You can check the websites of major banks to apply for the student bank acccount, a representative will take your request and either ask you to come to nearby branch or can send an executive to your place.

How to get a student ATM card offline

You can give a direct visit to the nearby branch of the bank. Then collect an application form to open a student savings account. Now submit the duly filled application form with required documents. Your ATM card and the PIN will be activated within 3 to 4 working days.
