Air India Service was started in the year 1932 and formerly it was known as ‘Tata Airlines.’ Earlier it was a private company but later on the government took over the control of this enterprise. The first flight of Air India was from Karachi to Mumbai and it was done by JRD Tata himself in a De Havilland Puss Moth aircraft.
The Maharaja is the logo of this company that symbolizes royalty. Even the planes are decorated in a unique way.
