Anil Kumble

Anil Kumble is by far india's greatest spinner ever. Born on 17th october 1970,kumble by profession is a mechanical engineer. He is india's most sucessfull spinner and the world's only to be involved in maximum number of wins. Be it test matches ot one dayers, kumble has always been a match winner.

Career Highlights

There are a number of highlights in kumbles's career. His biggest achievement is the 10 wickets he took in an innings against pakistan. It is still an unbeaten record. He is india's highest wicket taker taking a staggering 616 wickets in tests and 337 in ODI's. His favourite hunting ground is the ferozshah kotla stadium in new delhi where he has taken 47 wickets in just 5 test matches. In one dayers, kumble is less preferred to others but even so he has been so successful a bowler that the selectors find it hard to keep him out.

Kumble currently 37 years of age is the captain of the current indian team. He was preferred over the sensational MS Dhoni to represent india in Tests. He has a decent record as captain too. Kumble would by far be india's no.1 spinner for many more years to come.
