5 Series has a custom-fitted electronic chassis control system wherein the safety is improved and driving pleasure is maintained. When in a spot of bother (oversteering or understeering) Dynamic Stability Control reduces torque and applies brakes to each of the 4 wheels. Within no time, stability of the vehicle is restored. This system aids in prevention of traction prior to the vehicle losing site of the road. Both aluminum and steel are used in the construction of the BMW 5 Series Sedan. Few of the engine parts, its bonnet plus its front-end structure including side walls use aluminum as components and for structural design.
