Sandhu was a decent bowler and more than useful a tailender.Sandhu had a very short lived career in tests as well as one dayers. He played just 8 test matches picking up 10 wickets while in ODI's he picked up 16 wickets in 22 matches. The biggest highlight of his career was when he picked up 2 wickets in two successive deliveries against pakistan on his debut. In the same match he scored a quick 71 runs coming in at no.9.
