The Bengal College Of Engineering and Technology (BCET) is located in Durgapur, India and is established by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2001 With an intention to convey education to the country’s bright minds. The institute has developed very fast since its inauguration by the chief minister of West Bengal, Sri Buddhadeb Basu and it now has a very creditable infrastructure.
Some of the courses offered by BCET to its students are BTech, the admissions to the same are conducted on the basis of the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination for Engineering & Technology and the All India Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the CBSE board.
BCET also has courses like an M Tech in Computer science and engineering, MTech in Electronics and Engineering, MTech in Bio Technology eligibility criteria to which is a 1st class in Btech of the required field or an equivalent MSc in the required field.
BCET also offers MBA programmes in HR, Marketing and Systems & Finance the entrance to which is on the basis of the JEMAT exams conducted by the West Bengal Board Of Examinations or through MAT conducted through AIMA.
For the institutes MCA programmes the eligibility is the student must be a graduate with Mathematics as one of his subjects.
Other facilities offered by BCET to its students are Girls and Boys Hostels, a cafeteria, a Gym, a library and study center, a well kept Medical center Faculty flats and an auditorium on campus.
