Bengal Engineering College is located in Shibpur near Botnical Gardes Howrah, and was established in 1966 under the State University. It offers under graduate and post graduate programmes in business with a PhD in management.

To apply one must be graduate from a recognized university, and can apply by filling the application form and submitting it at the university by hand by paying a fee of Rs 500 or by post where one must post the application form along with a DD for Rs 550 in favor of “The Registrar, Bengal Engineering And Science University, Shibpur” and should be payable at Kolkata, the application form can be obtained from the principal of the college and all application dates end in December, please note that for selection one must appear and have his or her Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) scores available, and for BE in Arch there is a freehand drawing test in addition to the JEE scores.
Reserved seats to the university are 22% for schedule Caste, 6% for schedule Tribes and nominees by the government of India have 20 seats reserved for them.
