In collaboration with the DPS group the Bengal Institute of Technology at Kolkata was established by Techno India Group. A young instate of under ten years the Bengal Institute of Technology is associated with the West Bengal University of Technology (WTU) and is also approved by AICTE.
Courses Offered
A number of courses both under graduate and post graduate are offered by the Bengal Institute of this gives students of the twelfth standard to attain a complete education under one roof. The Under Grad courses on offer include B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech in Bio- Technology, B. Tech in Information Technology and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The post graduate courses are MCA - Masters in Computer Applications.
Admission Procedure
To get admitted to the Bengal Institute of Technology for a B Tech course the candidate must clear the class twelve examination with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Math as well secure a good rank in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WB-JEE) or AIEEE. For the Bio – Technology course biology must be a subject in class twelve in place of chemistry. Candidates are admitted to the post graduate MCA – Masters in Computer Applications course only on passing the BSc with Mathematics or the BCA exams with at least 50% achievement and must attain a good position in the JECA entrance exam of the West Bengal Government. BIT has a training and placement cell and students are provides with guidance on careers and jobs as they complete their studies
