Burdwan Schools

The Burdwan Schools fall under the Oriental Association for Education and Research which is a voluntary organization. There are, as of now, three institutes under this organization. The Burdwan Institute of Medical and Life Science (BIMLS), Burdwan Institute of Management and Computer Science (BIMS) and Burdwan Model School (BMS).

BIMLS is situated in Golapbag and is registered to the University of Burdwan. The institute is expanding rapidly and is ever changing in accordance with the growth in the medical world. The staff in the institute comprises of the leading names in Psychotherapy and the best medical workforce in the city and is highly experienced in the art of imparting education.

BIMS campus is located at Dwandighi and is also under the University of Burdwan. Bachelor degree courses of Business Administration and Chartered Accountancy are offered here and Biotechnology and Biochemistry courses have recently been introduced as well.

BMS is a primary school with education being offered from Nursery to Class VIII. This too is constantly expanding to accommodate more students and streams and discussions are also on about opening branches in other towns of West Bengal. The school also has a hostel, equipped with all necessary amenities for students, if required. There are also various extra curricular activities like Seminars, Competitions, Sports and Excursions organized from time to time.

All these institutes give special attention to the growth of the students as individuals. They are given all the guidance they require to develop their skills to the fullest.
