Short term courses in distance learning mode include courses in MS Office package, Adobe PageMaker or Adobe Photoshop etc.
Diploma level courses are also available as correspondence course. Some of the Diploma level courses include JAVA, Web Designing, and Networking etc.

There are some correspondence courses which give certificate training. These courses include programming languages like C, C++, JAVA, ORACLE, Dot Net etc.

The most demanding correspondence course in the field of computers is a B.Sc in Computers, or a BCA (Bachelor’s of Computer Application), or a B.Sc (Hardware and Networking).

Some of the institutes also offer master’s level degree in the distance learning mode.

Eligibility

The basic eligibility criteria for a course in computers depend on the opted course and the chosen institute.

For doing a diploma, the candidate must be a pass in the secondary school certificate exam from a reputed board. There are generally no eligibility criteria for pursuing a certificate course.

For bachelor’s level course, one must have passed their higher secondary school certificate exam from a recognized board and with a good score. The eligibility criterion for pursuing a master’s level course is that the candidate must have passed his bachelor’s degree from a recognized board.

Career Prospect

There are lots of jobs available for the person with knowledge in Computers as all the companies, firms and organizations are run by Computers. So, persons with knowledge of computers have plenty of options.
