DPS Gurgaon, which is located in Sector 45, was inaugurated on April 29th 2002 by the President of DPSS, Salman Khurshid; and the Chairman DPSS, Mr. Narendra Kumar. It was instituted in the fond memory of late Smt. Mala Jaipuria who dreamt of spreading value based education to every child in every corner of the country. The school which is affiliated to C.B.S.E., caters to children from Nursery to Class XII.

Extra Curricular Activities at DPS Gurgaon
DPS Gurgaon has recently introduced the internationally recognized Duke of Edinburgh’s award. It has three levels and at the completion of the award the participant will receive a certificate and a badge.
However in spite of all the facilities and excellent qualities, the parents of students studying in the school recently protested against the school at the Leisure Valley Park. They gathered together to protest against the recent fee hike. The parents, though, were not against the salary hikes for teachers. They were against the school for not maintaining transparency when it comes to utilization of funds. They also said that the fee hike was uniform among all the schools of the DPS society in Delhi and the NCR region.
Admission to DPS Gurgaon
The admission takes place in the month of april to june for which the student need to submit the application form taken from the office. DPS do take internal test and interview along with considering past academic performance of students.
For admission in Nursery, the student should be 4 years old atleast at the time of admission (30th September).
For classes of third, forth and fifth, there will be an internal exam conducted for the student in English, Hindi & Mathematics subjects depending on the availability of seats.
For classes of fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth, there will exam conducted in English, Maths and Science.
For class XIth, thee will be 20% weightage of separate exam + 60% on past performance + 20% of Interview

Priorities are given to known/relative employees which is totally an unfair practice and quite frustrating to all dedicated and hardworking employees. Gurgaon has another DPS
Gurgaon has another DPS branch, called as DPS Sushant Lok which is now 6 years old. This branch is now much more popular than DPS Gurgaon. The nursery admissions are now over there also but pre-nursery is still on.
My daughter started her pre-nursery from this school only and is now in Class - I and I am pretty happy with the way she is being educated and taken care of. They really balance education and extra curricular activities nicely.
