Degree Certificate is issued to the students after he qualifies his graduation or post graduation course from any college of his region that is accredited to the respective University of that region. In India the Degree Certificate Courses are either professional or non-professional Courses and the duration of these courses varies form 3 to 5 years.
When the Student qualifies the examination conducted by the University after completion of the final year of his degree course he is awarded with the degree certificate at the time of University convocation. The student can also receive the degree by post if they do not want to attend the convocation. For this they have to fill in the prescribed form by the university. They can receive their degree within one month from the date of application. The period may vary for different Universities.
The form is to be submitted with the fees as suggested by the University, which is different for Professional, Non Professional and Post Graduation or other Courses and is also different for different Universities in India. You can also apply online for the degree certificate at the website of the respective University or can download the form and send it by Post. The fee is to be submitted in the form of Demand Draft to the University.
Along with the application the candidate has to attach the required certificates like the statement of marks of his Final year examination, certificate for internship or industrial trainings etc. In some universities they make it mandatory for students to send in the original statement of marks.
The students can apply to the University for the degree certificate any time after the completion of the Degree Course.
