Established in the 1966, Delhi High Court has the most important place in Indian constitution. This court was established by appointing four judges K.S Hegde, Justice I.D Dua, Justice H.R Khanna and Justice S.K Kapur. It is being authorized by Constitution of India and judges can only run their term till 62 yrs of age. The current Chief Justice of Delhi High Court is Mr. Dipak Mishra. All the 5 District Courts in Delhi are being run by Delhi High Court. These are Tiss Hazari Courts, Patiala House Courts, Kakardooma Courts, Saket Courts and Rohini Courts.
In the initial period, this high court not only exercises its jurisdiction in the Union Territory of India but also Himachal Pradesh and had the bench in Shimla at Ravenswood building. Currently, there are 29 permanent judges and 19 Additional judges. The main aim of this high court is to provide justice to the case with the right hearing. All the major cases in Indian are being appealed here after the consent of lower court.

To be a judge or advocate of Delhi High Court there are some requirement after fulfilling can be appointed to the court. Every year there are specific recruitment done by the court for various positional jobs which can be applied after appearing for examination conducted by the university.
