Delhi Transport Corporation

The Delhi Transport Corporation was undertaken by Govt. of India, Ministry of India in the year 1948 because they found that the transport agency was not conducting its service according to public needs. DTC was undertaken the service by Delhi Road Transport Authority under the act of Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950. It has the responsibility to provide best transportation to six different cities. Delhi Transport Corporation offers different bus services which includes Standard Floor Bus, Low Floor Non-AC bus and Low Floor AC Bus. Every bus offered by DTC has different fares that depend on the Km and city to which you want to travel.
In July 2003, DTC has restarted the Delhi-Lahore bus service which runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday which departs from Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal. Passenger who wants to visit Lahore by using this service has to carry some identification proofs like Passport and Visa.

DTC also conducts sight seeing service where the Delhi Darshan includes the fare of Rs 200/- for adult and Rs 100/- for children. The sight seeing spots includes Raj Ghat, Red Fort, Birla Mandir, Humanyu Tomb, Qutub Minar and Akshardham Temple.

The DTC service also issues Green Card for all its routes except Palam Coach. The fare for this green card is Rs 40/- for non-ac and Rs 50/- for ac coach. You can get the application form for the pass through online.
