The Design institute of India is located in the city of Indore falling under the state of Madhya Pradesh. The institute was conceived by Mr. Dinesh Dubey, who has an extensive educational and industrial knowledge and belongs to the NID alumni. The Design institute of India is located very close to the IIT Indore campus. The institute covers a land area of 14 acres.
Specializations available:
There are four specialization in design that are available at the institute. Graphic Design & Advertising, Apparel Design & Merchandising, Interior Design and Animation and Film Design are the ones available. There is an Undergraduate Program in design course as well as a Post Graduate program in design course that is offered to its students. Both the courses contain the four specializations which were mentioned above.
Distinctive Features
The institute is the only one in India that provides studying in college after you complete your 10th standard which in turn saves you 2 precious years. For admission into the college you would need to get an application form from the Bank of Baroda branch in your city. The Admission procedure is simple as candidates are considered on the basis of their performance in the Design Aptitude Test which is held at a National level. This will be then followed by a Studio test and then a personal interview. The studio test and personal interview will be held at the Indore campus itself.
