- Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institutes (FMT and TI’s) at Budni (M.P.), Hissar (Haryana), Garladinne (A.P) and at Biswanath Chariali (Assam) to train personnel on various aspects of Agricultural Mechanization.
- Central Seed Committee and the Central Seed Certification Board (CSCB) are apex agencies for regulation of quality of seeds in the country.
- Dept. of Agriculture and Cooperation (DA/C) has 3 organization dealing with Agricultural Marketing.
(i) Directorate of Marketing and Inspection at Faridabad (Central Agmark Laboratory at Nagpur and 16 Regional Agmark Laboratories (RALs) function under it) – for the promotion of standardization and grading of Agricultural and allied produce, construction of rural godowns, Development of Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure and Marketing information Network.
(ii) National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM) – Jaipur (1988) Involved in
(a) training activities (in 2003-04 Management development programmes (MDP) were introduced),
(c) Project formulation and
(d) undertaken post graduate programme in Agri-Business Management (PGPABM) to assist Agricultural graduates to acquire the critical know- how to compete in the domestic and global business arna.
(iii) Small Farmers Agri-Business Consrtium (SFAS) (1994) to support innovative ideas for generating income and employment in rural areas by promoting private investments in Agri-business projects.
