Gagan Narang is a shooter from India. He was born on 6th May 1983. In 2003, Narang won a gold medal at the Afro Asian Games in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Competition. In 2006 at the Commonwealth Games, he won four gold medals (Men's 10m Air Rifle, Men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions, 10m Air Rifle (Pairs) and Men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions (Pairs) )the last two medals was won in partnership with <a href="/node/63962">Abhinav Bindra</a>. In the same year, he won a gold medal at the World Cup in the Air Rifle event. At the Pre- Olympic event, Narang broke the world record of Thomas Farnik of Austria by scoring 704.3 in the Men’s Air Rifle event. He also represented India in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but wasn’t able win a medal.
