Gramin Personal Accident Policy is one of the important and effective insurance policies of the Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. This policy is quite popular amongst the poorer section of the society.

About the policy

Gramin Personal Accident Policy is basically one of the two variations of the Personal Accident Policy of the Oriental Insurance. The other variation is the Janata Personal Accident Policy. As such, the various terms and the conditions of this policy are same as the Personal Accident Policy. The only difference lies in the fact that Gramin Personal Accident Policy requires lower sum insured and has a lower premia. This makes it quite an affordable insurance policy for the poorer section of the society. Further, the premium in case of this policy is around Rs. 5 per annum.

Gramin Personal Accident Policy is one of the important undertakings of the Oriental Insure for the lower income groups of the society. The terms and conditions and the long-term benefits of this policy are designed to meet the various insurance requirements of the poorer section of the society.

Eligibility

Anyone people who fall in the lower income group of the society and is between 10 years to 70 years can take up this policy.

Sum insured

As per the provisions of the Gramin Personal Accident Policy, the sum insured in case of death will be around Rs. 10,000; in case of Permanent partial disability (PPD) it will be around Rs. 5,000; whereas, in case of the Permanent total disability (PTD) it will be around Rs. 10,000.
