Grihalaksmi Magazine

Grihalaksmi is a women’s monthly magazine, related to all the women matters right from lifestyle, to health and fitness, it covers various topics of women interest. The term Grihalaksmi means the laxmi of home, Laksmi is the Indian Goddess of wealth and prosperity, and in Indian culture every woman is treated like Laksmi. The Grihalaksmi magazine is also dedicated to the very women in every aspect and it helps in educating and entertaining Indian women.

The book has special recipes in the food section which helps a housewife to cook tasty food, along with some tips which makes the life in office easy, also tips are given for child related matter and the way the children should be brought up. There is a separate section for women health and fitness and the magazine takes care of almost every aspect of women’s lifestyle and is meant for women following different professions, right from a housewife to a corporate executive.

The magazine is published in Malayalam and is owned by the Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing co.; the magazine began its publication in the year 1979, and is now the most popular women’s magazine of the area. The magazine has also expanded its base and is now printed in four others languages including Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Teague. The magazine now has a readership of over 30,000 per month and it is ever expanding, since its rival is nowhere near it. The magazine is generally preferred by any women of the region, and is highly popular.
