Hotel Management Entrance Exam

Government of India introduced training and teaching in Hotel Management decades ago. Global growth and development of tourism has released up countless opportunities for hospitality officials and commercialized preparation programs in Hotel Management and procedures.

Importance of the program

The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pusa, New Delhi and Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. The 3 year program prepares learners with all the required skills, information and approach to proficientlyrelease supervisory duties in the Hospitality Sector.

The Hotel Management Entrance Exam is also known as National Council of Hotel Management Joint Entrance Exam. The main features of the exam are:

• It is written examination for 3 hours

• The question pattern is – Reasoning and logical deduction for 40marks

Numerical ability and scientific aptitude for 40 marks Service and hospitality aptitude for 40 General knowledge for 40 marks English language for 40 marks
The merit list of Hotel Management Entrance Test is prepared basing on the marks secured in the written test.

The marks of the qualifying examination i.e. the 10+2 exam will be taken in consideration for if there is any case of tie breaking.

The centralized counseling for the prescribed onwards for the allotment of the institutes of the candidates is based on the merit list announced.

For the counseling te candidate will have to produce the admit card, the attested copy of result of 10+2 and a non-refundable demand drafts of Rs 10000. The same amount is adjustable with the fees of the first term in the allotted institute.

In some cases the candidate may have to appear for a second round of counseling.

The commencement of the session date will be prescribed by the allotted institute.
