The network of India Railways covers each and every part of the country. Even the remotest village of the country has the railway communication. At the present time the railway authority has improved the way of booking ticket. The reservation system has become much advanced and fast. The railway authority has also introduced the online reservation of tickets recently which help the traveler to get the tickets without standing in the queue within a few seconds.

The reservation status of the ticket can also be checked without any hassle. The reservation status is clearly indicated in the ticket. If the ticket is confirmed the coach number and the birth numbers will be mentioned in the ticket. For the First class and the AC first class the word ‘confirmed’ will be printed alongside the class of the travel. If the ticket is in RAC or Reservation Against Cancellation or in the waitlist status the status will also be mentioned in the ticket. It is the duty of the passengers to note the status of the ticket.

The passengers will be allowed to board the train with RAC ticket and a sitting allotment will be made initially.
