I have been booking tickets
I have been booking tickets frequently on the IRCTC until couple of days and I currently have couple of tickets to travel in couple of days and cancel a ticket as well.
As I was going thru the login process, I got the update screen and I was unable to login bypassing this screen and hence I updated the screen. The screen wanted for mobile number which on updating, the screen refreshed stating the number is in use. I had to provide alternate mobile number and update the screen and undertake the login process. On doing so, the page is refreshed with message password incorrect screen.
Can any one suggest how to login. More over, change password asks for mail password and mobile password apart from secret question. I am aware of the secret Q & A but i haven't encountered this Email and mobile password while signup.
Is there a way out to get the tickets and also cancel the tickets.

I tried booking e-ticket to cuddapah(HX) from Chennai(MAS)for train no: Mumbai Express (11042) it always shows NOT AVAILABLE, So I called customer care to enquire why it is showing NOT AVAILABLE he replied saying that there is no quota to book ticket to Cuddapah (HX) if that is the case why there is a stop in that particular station.
If the train stops in that station there must be availablity of booking a e-ticket. Can you correct if I am wrong.

Yesterday morning i booked an online ticket from BBS to BSL, on the first attempt after submitting the credit card details it shown a message on screen that " Due to slow connection request can not be processed, please try again" , So, after some time again i tried that time my transaction executed successfully. But i got sms for two PNR no., when i inquired about it from cutomer care they told me that i have done the booking twice, I told them that first time it shown an error and transaction could not be completed. But these people are not ready to listen that it happened due to their server problem. Since its a tatkal ticket so they are not refunding the amount which is Rs. 2836/-.
Sir, I just want to know that how two tickets can be booked on a same PAN card No.?? Isn't there any system to check the double entries?? Secondly , there was a technical problem at their end why do a customer bear the loss due to their inefficiency???
I had sent several mails to customer care but they are saying only one thing that I should have checked the booking history. Sir, When so clearly I am getting a message displayed on computer screen that I ll have to try again then what should i do in that case?
Sir, since I am an employee of a company and I was doing this transaction for my boss I cannot take the loss of Rs. 2836 which is caused due to slow server of IRCTC.

In irctc online railway ticket reservation system, choice for birth is confirmed after payment being made through net banking. For senior citizens like us and particularly with critical knee problem worst even with knee replaced, we have to opt for lower birth which we could not get trying 5/6 times, when availability shows 50 or more. As we can not afford such huge money to be blocked, we attempted 4/5 times and being failed we stop. Ultimately we could not get the advantage of the online booking system. This WAS my experience to book tickets for me and my spouse in 3 tier AC in ‘ YPR-HOW’ Duronto Express.
So it is my humble request to the Railways authority to relook and modify the soft ware if possible, so that if preferred birth is not available, it will instantly prompt “not available” and block at that point. and hence money can not be blocked unnecessarily, then we can try further till our choice is fulfilled.
