To get an Idea Prepaid card, you will require certain documents for verification of your identity and your address as well. When you choose an idea prepaid card, then there is no necessity to change number when you go to a foreign country because Idea mobile numbers are used world – wide.
What are the necessary documents for buying an Idea Prepaid card?
For address proof as well as identity proof you need:
- Passport
- Driving License
- Voter’s Identification Card
- Your office identification card or student’s identity card
- Ration card which has your name
- Any other identification card that has your name and photograph.
For identity Proof you need:
- PAN card and
- Photo credit card.
For address proof you need:
- Ration card
- Vehicle registration documents
- Telephone bill

You can use it world – wide and so it is not necessary that you should change number when you leave your state or your country.
You can use the security options that are available in the prepaid card.
There is a PUK number in the card. When you enable your security option such as PIN number, it provides only 3 chances for entering the correct PIN number. If in all your 3 chances the PIN number is wrong, then you should get a PUK number from the customer care to enable your SIM card. Before providing the PUK number the customer care member will ask you certain questions and if those are correct, you are provided with your PUK number. So a person who steals your phone cannot use your SIM.
i brought a new id prepaid
i brought a new id prepaid card and then i went out of station for 3 months and when i came to india i inserted the sim and it shows sim registration failed i forgot the number but i have the sim no 89910704270006204616 HLR3 so please help me i need this number back i even called cc and they told they have no information about this since the registration failed i didnt even receive a msg stating that the number is going to be deactivated hope to hear from you at the earliest

mobile no 91 9849122084 address hno .16-3-810 chanchalguda hyderabad a.p. india .i had not use the air tel sim seven months because i no out of the country on bussiness trip but it is life time sim till 2015after seven months not used i has using this sim from 06-01-2010 ( mobile no 9849122084 ). i had recharged my mobile rs 55 and 32 also for .50paisa local call in morring today itself . 11/01/01but in after noon the air tel had blocked by sim for no reson MY SIM IS LIFE TIME VALUED TILL 2015.AND U DEACTIVATED IT.i had visted malakpet air tel office in after noon and talk the officer said i had to purchase a duplicate sim costing rs 50.so i had purchased it but till now my new sim of same no ie 9849122084 is not activated .plz activated my sim with my no 9849122084 urgently NOTE IAM USING THIS MOBILE NO 9849122084 NEARALY FROM SIX YEARS .SO I HAD VERY IMPORTANT CONTACT .IF I PURCHASE NEW SIM WITH NEW NO ITS GREAT LOSS TO ME SO I REQUIEST THE AIR TEL MOBILE COMPANY RE ACTIVATE MY MOBILE NO 9849122084 URGENTLY . Idea prepaid is nothing but a
Idea prepaid is nothing but a headach for the customer.They ask you to submitt the document every month and disconnect after which you have to beg them and face all the trouble. This is really terible.
I think in addition the above document you should have a xerox machine so that you can give the document whenever they ask you!!!!
