Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) is one of the best and premier engineering institutes in the country.The institute was founded in the year 2003 in the beautiful city of Kolkata by the join efforts of Government of West Bengal and certain eminent academicians and social workers. It is in fact one of the oldest prestigious engineering education institute in the state of West Bengal. The trust Nominee of the institute include West Bengal State Govt., WBUT, AICTE and DTE

Achievements

IEM is approved by AICTE and affiliated with WBUT. The institute has achieved a lot of landmarks and has also created many benchmarks in the field of engineering studies. In fact, it is has ranked third among World Bank (TEQIP) funded colleges. Moreover, it has also secured the first prize in the robotics competition in Kshitij'2007 that was held in IIT, Kharagpur. Students from different parts of the state and also from different parts of India aspire to be a part of this renowned institute.

Course curriculum

IEM offers several important under graduate and post graduate engineering courses in electrical engineering, computer science and engineering, information technology, instrumentation and control engineering and electronic and communication engineering. All these courses are formulated in accordance with the AICTE guidelines and are amongst the best in the industry.

Eligibility

In IEM the students are generally admitted from the upper 10% of the passed candidates in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for engineering courses. The selection of the SC, ST, OBC and other backward communities are as per the government norms and regulations.
