IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat. Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Anand is situated about 36 kms. north of Vadodara and 65 kms south of Ahmedabad. IRMA offers different Rural Management courses.
IRMA Admission Procedure:
The final batch size for 2009-11 is expected to be about 95 students
No reservation is available for SC/ST/Pwd candidate, however criteria for selecting such candidates may be lower than general category.
IRMA does not accept any other test-score. It conducts entrance test at 27 centers across India.
A graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education, having 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST/PwD*) aggregate marks at the graduation level can apply for admission.

The PRM is a fully residential programme. There are nine blocks in the hostel, each with 24 furnished single rooms. Each floor of eight rooms has a furnished common reading room, which is also used for receiving guests of students. The hostel has a boarding facility managed by an elected student body.
IRMA Campus life:-
The Institute's campus is fully residential equipped with students' hostels, mess, lecture halls, seminar rooms, library, faculty and administrative offices, auditorium, executive training and development centre, faculty and staff housing, dispensary, and other support facilities. The Institute has infrastructure facilities for sports such as football, cricket, badminton and table tennis. The air-conditioned 400-seat auditorium has excellent audiovisual projection system .
