Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER)
Students are admitted to the programme at JIPMER once in a year through an all India entrance examination. The Doctorate of Medicine Degree is awarded to medical graduates holding the MBBS degree, after three years of study and passing an examination. The exam includes both theory and practical in a pre-clinical or clinical subject of a non-surgical nature. After obtaining the first post graduate degree, that is MD, a student can go for further specialisation in medical or surgical fields.
- The student should have completed class 12 in science stream (including Biology) with 60% marks in the boards.
PROSPECTUS AND APPLICATION FORM CAN ALSO BE OBTAINED IN PERSON AT THE INSTITUTE’S OFFICE ON PAYMENT OF RS.350/-. Application form can also be obtained by post.
Candidates to the various courses offered at JIPMER are selected based on an entrance examination followed by an interview.
The entrance exam are conducted in the month of June.
