Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools in Bhopal are administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Bhopal Region. All of them are affiliated to the CBSE Board. There are in all 61 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools located in Madhya Pradesh as well as in Maharashtra that are monitored by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Bhopal.

In the main city Bhopal there are total 3 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools. All the three KVs, like other KVs India, gets government fund and hence have very good infrastructure with big playgrounds, basketball and volleywall courts and libraries even when the fees very less. Tuition fee is not charged from girl students as well as from students belonging to SC/ST category.

Bhopal is a co-educational school and was established in 1964. It is known as one of the oldest schools in Bhopal with biggest infrastructure. The Children of Central government employees and Defense Personnel get admission in this school on priority basis.

The school has provided its students with quality teaching along with various co-curricular activities in Sports like Athletics, football, Volleyball, Badminton, Taekwando, Kayaking and Cricket. It also organizes and encourages students to participate in Regional Sport Meets. 2) Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Bhopal came into being in August 1994. It is a co-educational school located 500 meters from the Habib Ganj Railway station in Bhopal. The school is known for its high quality education. It provides education up to Junior College in three streams Arts, Science and Commerce.

The school students actively participate in the various activities and emerge as achievers. Along with academics the school encourages them to participate in sports events such as KVS National Sports meet, Cricket, Taekwando Kayaking, Boxing, Skating, KARATE Tournament etc.

3) Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3 was established in 2003. It is a co-educational school located 4 km away from Habibgunj Railway Station and 2km from Barkhatulla University near Danish Nagar. School has good infrastructure and in process of further expansion. It is having facility for education up to Junior College.

Many students of this school have qualified in national level competitive exams for further education in professional courses. Along with scout and Guide activities the students are provided with a good playground and equipment for games and sports like Table Tennis, badminton, Cricket etc. the school itself organizes various sports events in Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Foot-ball, Hand-ball and Volleyball. Internet facility is also available to the students.
