LIC Premium Status

You will be required to fill the Registration Form online at this site, selecting a user name and password of your choice.

For online registration, please keep in mind the following:

-The username chosen should be unique. It can also be alpha-numeric, with characters like dot (.) and underscore (_).

-The password must be between 8 to 30 characters and should again be unique. All the more important that it is remembered all the time and kept confidential.

-The information fields in the form marked with (*) are mandatory and therefore, cannot be left blank.

-The e-mail ID entered should be a valid one for further correspondence.

-The address pin-code entered cannot be more than 6-digits.

-After successfully registering yourself, you can access all the information regarding the status of your policy/s, loans, revivals, premium due/policy calendar, maturity calendar etc.

However, many people are either not too well-versed with the internet or do not have access to the internet all the time, in some cases no personal internet connection at home.

Therefore, an equally easy alternative is to track the policy details on phone, by calling the LIC helpline number.

The LIC helpline number is 1251 and can be reached toll-free from any BSNL/MTNL landline (For other services or mobile phone, charges apply).

This special helpline has been provided by LIC so that policy holders can call and inquire for useful information about their policy details, such as policy/premium status, due dates, surrender value details, loan against policy amount etc.

You can also make inquiries related to the latest LIC policies, offers and other information using this helpline.

Further, it is also possible to check your LIC premium status by SMS. You can obtain the information on your mobile in seconds this way.

To check Individual policy details through SMS, type:

ASKLIC < POLICY NO > [PREMIUM/REVIVAL/BONUS/LOAN/NOM]
and send it To 56677.

You can get following details through SMS:

Premium – Installment premium under policy
Revival – (If policy is lapsed) Revival amount payable
Bonus – Amount of Bonus vested
Loan – Amount available as Loan
NOM – Details of Nomination
