Leslie Walter Claudius
Leslie Walter Claudius an Indian hockey player was born on 25th March 1927. Claudius is considered to be one of the finest right – halves hockey player of his time and also a legend in the Indian Hockey team. He used a have excellent tackling skills. In 1960, he was the captain of the Indian team that went to Tokyo, but lost the game. Claudius was the member of the indian Hockey team that won three consecutive Olympic gold medals. He also holds the record of winning maximum Olympic medals ( 3 gold’s and 1silver) in the Guinness Book of World Records. In 1971 for his contributions to the Indian hockey team he was awarded the Padma Shri award.
