Things to do to discontinue the lost ICICI ATM card

It has been noticed, an increase in theft or loss of credit cards, ATM cards, and debit cards etc. But the banks are not liable for the loss of ATM cards and the card-holder is solely accountable for the security of the card. There are a few things which one should follow to discontinue the lost ATM card, which are as follows:

• One of the foremost things to do after losing the ICICI debit card is to lodge a FIR.
• Another step is to call the customer care number of ICICI Bank telling them about lost ATM card. These ways, the ICICI bank will be able to assist in protecting the financial liability (if any) mounting from any monetary transaction made after the card is lost from the reporting time.
• The cardholder should draft a letter mentioning the mishap as soon as possible, to confiscate or cancel the transaction made from the lost ATM card.
• Within a week’s time ICICI bank, after verifying all the details provided by you will issue new ATM card.
