MTNL Bill

MTNL Bill is a two page presentation that tells us about the details of the consumer, MTNL, amount of bill, due date, and various ways of paying the bill.

On the front page (Page 1) there is a yellow colored box on the top where the detailed address of MTNL Mumbai/Delhi is given both in English and Hindi along with the logo of MTNL.

Next are two boxes – the first one on the left hand side gives the details - Name and Address along with barcode and bill date in English, the second box has the same details but in Hindi.

Under these tow boxes there is a barcode and a number printed that consists of 10 digit Customer Account Number, Bill Number, Bill Date, and the Amount to be paid.

On the right hand side of the upper end of the MTNL Bill are the columns stating again in Hindi and English:
Billing period – stating the dates of the billing month.
Due date –
Amount payable –

Under these there are several boxes stating

Telephone Number of the user.
Customer Account Number (C.A. no.).
Bill Number.
Bill Date.
Category Code.
Tariff Plan.
Group Code.
Broadband Tariff Plan.

The next row has following data

Opening Meter Reading.
Closing Meter Reading.
Metered Calls.
Debit Calls.
Credit Calls.
Free Calls.
Net Calls Chargeable.

Beneath this are the details of broadband usage like

How many MBs.
Other Credit Details.
Charge description.
Discount on ECS payment system – from date and amount.
The details of Payments received after last bill i.e. Bill date, Bill amount, Due Date, Paid Date, and Paid Amount.

STD-ISD Details

Calling number, Called number, Call date, End Time, Duration, Chargeable calls and then the Total of STD/ISD Calls..

The next columns tell us about (in Hindi and English) Current Changes Details and the Amount

Broadband Monthly Service Charges.
Broadband Usage Charges.
Monthly CPE Charges.
Debits.

The column next to the above column on the right side has some information about the latest ISD facility that is available without STD/ISD facility on the phone in use.

The MTNL Mumbai/Delhi Service Tax registration number and that the Cheque/DD should be drawn in favour of “MTNL Mumbai or Delhi” and the consumer number. There is also information that upon paying your bills online before the Due Date the consumer can get a discount of 1% on the Bill amount and that the Discounted is subject to a maximum of Rs. 250/-

Lastly at the lowest end of the page is a counter foil that needs to be detached and enclosed with the payment and this foil again has all details like C.A. no., Bill no., Due Date, Amount Payable, Telephone no., Bill period, Bill Date, and amount payable after Due Date.

Page two has details of various tariff plans and information about the TriBand Broadband service from MTNL and other details. There is also some:
Customer Information along with Help Desk numbers.
Surcharge/late payment charges.
Bill payment options.
Billing complaints options.

Lastly, there is the backside of the counterfoil which the customer needs to fill and attach if the payment is made by the Cheque or DD:

Cheque/DD no. and date.
Amount Rs.
Mobile number.
E-mail ID.
