Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was more popularly known as the nawab of Pataudi. He was seen by many as india's greatest test captains ever. He was born on the 5th of january in the year 1941 in bhopal.

Nawab Pataudi's Career

Mansoor ali khan pataudi came to be known in the cricketing world's recognition in the year 1961. He was given captaincy at a very young age of 21. This was just months after he permanently damaged his right eye in a car accident. Pataudi played 36 test matches for india at a batting average of 34.91. He was a gifted right handed batsman and a right arm medium pace bowler.

In addition to cricket mansoor ali khan pataudi also contested the elections. He contested in 1971 to protest the abolition of privy purse in india. He contested from gurgaon from the Vishal Haryana Party.
