Mohammed Shahid was a former Indian hockey player. He was born on 14th April 1920 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He was famously known for his amazing dribbling skills that can weave past any defense. He was also known as the best dribbler in the world.
In 1979, he made his first international debut against France in the Junior World Cup. In 1980, he represents India at the Champion Trophy which was held in Karachi, Pakistan. He was also awarded the best forward player in the tournament. In the same year, he was the member of the Indian team that won the gold medal at the Olympic Games held in Moscow. He also represented India in the 1984 Olympic Game in Los Angeles and the 1988 Olympic Game in Seoul. Shahid also represented India in the 1982 Asian Games in Delhi which won Silver medal and the 1986 Asian Games in Seoul which won Bronze medal for India.
