Mumbai University Distance Education

Mumbai University introduced distance education in the year 1971-72, for students who are deprived of getting higher education. The distance education by Mumbai University offers all the courses that are necessary for students to get the higher education. Mumbai University is most respected university in India because of its quality education for its students. The distance education is also called as Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL). Mumbai University is being awarded as 5 Star by NAAC under UGC act and is famous among 500 universities around world.

The Directorate of Distance Education has designated Mumbai University Institute of Distance Education, as the learning institution. All the courses that are offered by the Mumbai University Distance Education are being offered by Distance Education Council, New Delhi. The distance education from Mumbai University offers all the facilities for its students that are necessary for students to get at their study centre. It offers printed study materials of all the 240 subjects for its students. It has its own Audio-Visual Centre at Vidyanagari along with Audio-Video Cassettes.

Admission Procedure for Mumbai University Distance Education

Students apply for distance education from Mumbai University can download the form through university website. Students can even submit the form through online at the university IDOL website. Apart from online form filling and submission, the admission form, examination form and prospectus can be obtained from the sub centers of the university by paying Rs 100. It is mandatory that students must obtain the eligibility certificate from the sub centre before applying for the admission form.
Students should submit the admission form in hand to its various centers in Central line, Harbor Line, Navi Mumbai and Ratnagiri District. Students will getting all the study material right at the sub centre by paying some amount of specific course. The information about the fee structure can be obtained from centre.

Can i complete my graduation after a gap of 15yrs.I had appeared for T.Y.B.Sc(phy.) fro Kirti College Dadar, but couldnot clear it.Can i now appear as an external student from Mumbai University.What documents would i require to appear?Please guide?
