The name Mysore Bonda says it all, this famous snacks hails from Mysore, southern part of India. It is also famous in Tamil Nadu, Kerela and Andhra Pradesh. This is classified as evening snacks and often served in festivals like Diwali. Mysore bonda recipe takes at least 2 hours for preparation. This is very popular in Indian restaurants. Mysore bonda goes well with chutney and sambar. This also accompanies well with main course like black lentil curry. Mysore bonda is very healthy.
Ingredients to make Mysore Bonda
Maida- 1 cup
Finely chopped Green chilies- 2
Finely chopped small onion- 1
rice flour- 1 1/2 cup
Sour curd- 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
A pinch of baking soda
Chopped coriander leaves
Procedure to cook Mysore Bonda
Mix all the above ingredients using the curd to make dough with consistency. Knead it well for few minutes and then keep it aside for 2 hrs. Heat some oil in a frying pan. And cut out small balls of the dough to release it in the oil. Deep fry them till golden brown.
This is easy to prepare. You will eat with relish if added with green mint chutney or Coconut chutney.
