NDA Exam

National Defense Academy (NDA) Entrnace Exam happens twice a year by UPSC to recruit candidates in army, naval and air force wings of National Defense Academy. Exam notifications are published in all major newspapers and special newspaper - employment news in october - november and april-may time frame.
And exam is conducted in april-may and september – october time frame.
NDA Exam Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility Criteria for NDA - Army Wing: For recruitment in Army wing of NDA, applicant should be 10+2 passed from a recognized board or equivalent and should lie in 16 1/2 - 19 years age range.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA - Naval Wing & Air Force Wing: For recruitment in Naval and Air Force wings of NDA, applicant must be 10+2 paased with physics & mathematics and should lie in 16 ½ - 19 years age range.
Note: Students appearing in 12th exam can also apply for entrance exam but they are required to produce 12th mark sheet & passing certificate at later point on some date specified by UPSC.

NDA Exam Selection Procedure: NDA entrance test is comprised of written exam followed by SSB interview. Written test is an objective type exam consists of multiple choice questions in mathematics (total 300 marks) and general ability (total 600 marks). Candidates who qualify written exam successfully will be called for personal Interview conducted by Service selection board and later for medical exam.

After getting selected in NDA entrance exam, candidate can chose their preferred service area between NDA and Naval academy and if candidate chooses NDA , he can again opt for any of the three wings, however his field of service will be determined based on the merit list of NDA entrance exam.
