The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology for admission to certificate, Diploma and Degree programmes. They Conduct this entrance exam for the eight North East states of India. The entrance exam is conducting to get admission to the undermentioned programmes from the eight North East states of India.
*Base Module in Technology
*Base Module in Forestry
*Diploma Module in Technology
*Degree Module in Forestry
*Degree Module in Technology.
The departments which offer admission in Base, Diploma and Degree Modules in Technology are : Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Agricultural Engineering. Computer Science Department offers admission to Diploma and Degree Modules only. Department of Applied Science offers admission to Base Module of two years and Degree Module of four years in Forestry.
*The candidate should have passed the examination of 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Science and Mathematics.
*The Candidates must have science and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
*Candidate should be 19 years (24 years for SC/ST/PH and 22 years for OBC and female candidates) as on 1st August,of academic year.
The application form along with information brochure can be obtained from NERIST on payment of a specified fee in cash.
The NEE is conducting three different exams named NEE -I, NEE-II, NEE-III.
*NEE-I consisting of one paper of 150 marks and three hours duration. For every wrong answer to a question 25% (¼th) of the marks carried by the question will be deducted from the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate.
*NEE-II consisting of one paper of 150 marks and three hours duration. For every wrong answer to a question 25% (¼th) of the marks carried by the question will be deducted from the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate. There shall be three different question papers for the two streams (i) 10+2 PCM/PCB/PCMB, (ii) 10+2 Vocational (Technology) and (iii)10+2 Vocational (Forestry)
*NEE-III consisting of one paper of 150 marks and three hours duration.The question paper shall consist of four sections. The physics, chemistry and Biology sections will carry and 25 questions of 1 mark each. The Fourth section Mathematics will have 50 questions where 25 questions will carry 2 marks each and rest with one mark each
The selection of students is on the basis of merit list prepared in in order of result. The true copies of relevant certificates should be brought at the time of admission.
*Admission forms will be available in the month of April
*Submission of admission form will be in the month of May.
*Written Exams will be conducted in month of June.
