National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai conducts its separate all india level entrance test for taking admissions into MD program. Duration of course is 3 years.
National Institute of Siddha Eligibility Criteria for MD Program :
- Candidate should have passed B.I.M./B.S.M.S. degree from a recognized university of India and have completed CRRI (Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship) successfully. Also candidates who will be completing CRRI before entrance exam date are also eligible to apply or candidates who have passed any educational qualification which is equivalent to B.I.M. / B.S.M.S. degree with successful completion of CRRI.
- Candidate should have registered his/her name in Central Council of Indian Medicine or any state council of Indian medicine.
National Institute of Siddha MD Admission Procedure:
candidate is required to appear in entrance test conducted by National Institute of Siddha and qualify it. Based on the candidate’s rank in merit list of NIS entrance test and his/her academic marks as per criteria mentioned in brochure, candidate’s admission will be entertained. Some definite percentage of seats are reserved for SC / ST / OBC candidates , 1 seats is reserved for physically disabled candidate with locomotory disability in lower limbs from 50% to 70%. One seat is reserved for foreign student who belongs to any of the BIMSTECH countries sposensered by Indian govt.
How to Apply for MD course in National Institute of Siddha ?
Application forms along with prospectus can be obtained via post or in person by paying in cash / DD directly from NIS counter or by sending request for application form along with Crossed DD in favor of "DIRECTOR, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SIDDHA" payable at Chennai. Also application form can be downloaded from NIS website www.nischennai.org.
