National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test
The National Institute of Technology conducts the MCA Common Entrance Test for the candidates for admission to MCA courses.
- A candidate should have a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years in any discipline with Mathematics at the (10+2) or at the Bachelor's level and also should have a minimum score of 60% aggregate marks.
- Those candidates who are appearing at the Bachelor's degree examination are also eligible.
- A candidate should be Indian National.

The entrance exam will be for a duration of two hours and consists of 120 multiple choice questions. Each correctly answered question carries FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question invites NEGATIVE ONE mark.
Note: Calculators, mobile phones or any other materials shall not be allowed in the examination hall.
Admission is based on the rank obtained by the candidates in the NIMCET.
The entrance exam is usually held in the month of May.
