National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test[edit]

The National Institute of Technology conducts the MCA Common Entrance Test for the candidates for admission to MCA courses.


  • A candidate should have a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years in any discipline with Mathematics at the (10+2) or at the Bachelor's level and also should have a minimum score of 60% aggregate marks.
  • Those candidates who are appearing at the Bachelor's degree examination are also eligible.
  • A candidate should be Indian National.

Exam Pattern[edit]

The entrance exam will be for a duration of two hours and consists of 120 multiple choice questions. Each correctly answered question carries FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question invites NEGATIVE ONE mark.
Note: Calculators, mobile phones or any other materials shall not be allowed in the examination hall.

Admission Procedure[edit]

Admission is based on the rank obtained by the candidates in the NIMCET.


The entrance exam is usually held in the month of May.
