In the matter of foreign relations the embassy refers to both to a permanent diplomatic mission and the housing of that mission in building. Thus the embassies hold a huge importance in foreign relations. Embassies can also be called a contact point between the visiting and host nation. It is the embassy which deals with the problems like trade tariffs, political tensions etc. Typically, the New Zealand embassy is also staffed by representatives of the foreign service of the respective nation. To support the main functions of the embassy the main types of staffs are the administrative staffs, the political staffs, the consul staffs and the economic staffs. In the New Zealand embassy the ambassador is the chief under whom all the functions take place. The ambassador is the appointed person who is a political figure. The embassy before being deployed to the post is trained under foreign training services and other additional trainings to ensure that he/she can execute the duties well and good. Besides the embassies also use staffs from other agencies who provide supplemental information for the support of the embassy. The most national embassies are guarded by the military service men.
