Cooked rice- 2 cups Sliced onion- 5pcs Mustard- 1tsp Urad dal- 1tsp Chana dal- 2 tsp Turmeric powder- 1tsp Chopped ginger- small piece Green chilly- 2pcs Red chilly- 2pcs Asefoetida- 1tsp Garam masala- 1tsp Chopped coriander- 2tbsps Oil- 1 tbsp Salt to taste
Procedure to cook Onion Rice
Take oil in a pan and heat it .put mustard and fry it till the flavour comes out .then add urad dal ,chana dal, ginger, green chillies,red chillies,turmeric and asefotida.stir them till the color changes into light brown.then the chopped onion in a fried till it gets golden brown . Add garam masala and salt to it .the cooked rice is mixed well with these fried ingredients. Finally garnish onion rice with jeera, garlic cashew and coriander.It is ready to serve.
