PTET (Pre Teachers Entrance Test)

Pre Teachers Entrance Test popularly known as PTET is an entrance test conducted by Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan for taking admission into Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed) course in B.Ed colleges of Rajasthan.

PTET Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should have done graduation / masters in any of the stream and must have secured minimum 45% marks as aggregate.

There is some relaxation given in minimum marks criteria for reserved categories like for SC /ST / OBC / category candidates, minimum marks in graduation / masters degree required is 40% as aggregate and for window / divorcee candidates , minimum marks in graduation / masters degree required is 36%.

Candidates studying in final year of graduation or post graduation are also eligible to apply but they are supposed to produce mark sheet of degree exam on some later date specified by university.

PTET Admission Procedure: Admissions will be solely based on candidate’s performance & rank in PTET. Candidate should get minimum 40% marks to get place in PTET merit list.

PTET Seats Reservation: out of total intake, 5% seats will be filled up according to overall merit irrespective of candidate state of residence. 16% seats will be reserved for SC quota, 12% seats will be reserved for ST candidates, 21% seats are reserved for OBC category candidates, 20% seats are reserved for women candidates (out of this 20% , 8 % seats are reserved for widow women & 2% seats are reserved for divorced women) , 3% seats are reserved for physically disabled candidates and 5% seats are reserved for Ex-service man or defense employee or their wards.
