Parimarjan Negi an Indian chess player was born on 9th February 1993. Negi have replaced Pentala Harikrishna as the youngest Grandmaster in India. In 2005, at the Sort International Chess Tournament, Negi had his third and final International Master title. At the age of 13 in the year 2006, Negi became the second youngest International Master. In the same year he scored 6/10 at the Hasting Chess Congress title with a performance of 2568 and also had his second Grandmaster title.
Negi has also won a number of various tournaments in his school. Negi is presently studying in Amity International School. By defeating the Russian Grandmaster Ruslan Sherbakov on July 2006 at the Chelyabinsk Region Superfinal Chess tournament, Negi became the youngest Grandmaster in India. Negi was just 12 year old when he received his second Grandmaster title.
