Passport Clearance Certificate
A Passport Clearance Certificate is a certificate required for the processing of certain immigration checking cases. Some countries like Canada, Australia and New Zealand requires an individual to produce this certificate. In order to apply for a Passport Clearance Certificate, the following are the things to done. The applicant has to fill in a miscellaneous application form no .2 which would be available either at the passport office which can be obtained by paying just Rs.5 or else it can be also downloaded from the official website available for passport application.
The filled application for getting the Passport Clearance Certificate can either be submitted directly in person or else can be submitted by means of a representative who has the identity document and the authority letter of the applicant with his signature. Unless and until specified by the concerned officer, it is enough to submit only one set of the application form.
Along with the application form, an amount of fee of Rs.300 has to be paid to the office in order to obtain the Passport Clearance Certificate. This can be paid in two ways. Either by cash or by means of Demand Draft which should be drawn in favor of The Regional Passport Officer, Delhi. When selecting the option of payment through Bank Demand Draft, then on the reverse side of the draft, full name of the applicant along with his/her date of birth has to be written.
The following are the documents that the applicant has to produce along with the Application form for the Passport Clearance Certificate, which is also termed as Police Clearance Certificate. They are:- Original copy of a Valid Passport,
- Proof of residence or address proof and
- In case when the applicant has not stayed at the specified present address for the last one year, then a set of three completed Personal particulars form has to be submitted by the applicant.
