Regional Passport Office in Pune was established in June 1999. It provides passport services to six districts, i.e., Pune, Ahmednagar, Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur and Solapur. Applications for new passports, tatkal passports, re-issuance of passports, police clearance certificate, deletion of ECR stamp, inclusion of spouse's name and change of address are accepted at RPO, Pune and can also be downloaded from the site.
Apart from these, Personal Particulars Form (PP Form) can also be downloaded and submitted and Pune passport office. It is recommended that when you go to meet the passport officer or deputy passport officer, it is important to take bring the relevant documents e.g. Annexure-F, Annexure-I, in case of Tatkal Scheme and residence proof, birth certificate, 10th / 12th certificate etc. in case of a non-tatkal passport application.
Office Timings and submission of applications at Passport Office in Pune
Office timings of the Regional passport office in Pune for submission of application forms, sale of forms, on-line registration, enquiry, appointment of Passport Officer or Asst. Passport Officer etc. are between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm from Monday to Friday.
The timings for delivery of passports that are promised by passport officers are 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm from Mondays to Fridays. The passport office is closed on weekends and on all public holidays. The tatkal application can straightaway be made at the passport office, Pune. The normal or non-tatkal applications can be submitted online as well as manually.
Online application forms can be downloaded from the official website of the regional passport office, Pune. Other than making online applications, the paper applications can be submitted at Passport Office Pune OR at Superintendent of Police/DCP office of the district (DPC) OR at Speed Post Center of the city.
Submission of online application forms for fresh passports can be submitted at counter no. 1, 2 and 4; cash counters for accepting fees are at count no. 3 and 5; online submission of applications for re-issue of passports & misc.
services can be done at counters no. 6; the delivery of passports that are promised by the passport officers are done in the afternoon at counter no. 7 and status of your application or inquiry about it can be done at counter no. 9 or can be seen on the webpage of the regional passport office of Pune.

Sir I applied for passport on 13th April'10 n have already cleared the police verification on 4th May '10 at bvp police station,pune-43.But i have still not received the passport.The passport has been dispatched for my friend who has cleared it in July.I e-mailed as well as sent a fax of my grievance to the chief passport officer in Delhi but I have still not received any reply.I am eager to know the reason behind such delay in the dispatch of my passport as it has been more than three months since I cleared police verification.Moreover,I have to join the company in October for which passport is necessary.Please do the needful asap.
