Puducherry Joint Entrance Test is conducted by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry, for students who seek admission for first year Engineering and Medical degree courses available in the Government Degree courses.
Eligibility
- Std XII Science stream (Appearing/Passed)from any University.
- Candidates should have at least 45% marks to obtain admission in B. Tech. Degree Course, 50% marks for B.D.S. Degree/B.V.Sc & A.H Degree Course/B.Sc. (Agri) Degree Course/B.Pharm. Degree Course/B.Sc (Nursing), B.P.T. and B.Sc. (MLT) Degree Courses.
Application Procedure
The application form can be obtained by sending a request t the Convener along with a demand draft of prescribed fees drawn in favor of the Convenor, CENTAC. It can also be obtained in person from selected post offices on payment of fee.
Note:- Applications received after the due date and time shall be rejected and no further correspondence in this regard will be entertained
Exam Schedule:
JET consists of three papers of two hours duration each. All questions will be of objective type only. Paper1 will consist of 60marks of mathematics questions while paper2 will consists 80marks question on Physics and Chemistry and Paper3 will have 100marks question on Botany and Zoology.
- Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech. degree course should appear in Papers I & II.
- Candidates seeking admission to B.D.S., B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc.(Agri.)., B.Sc.(Nursing), B.P.T., B.Sc.(MLT) and M.B.B.S. degree courses should appear in Papers II & III .
- Candidates seeking admission to the B.Pharm. degree course should appear in Paper II and, Paper I or Paper III.
- Candidates seeking admission to all the above mentioned degree courses should appear in all the Three Pape
Admission Procedure
The selection procedure of the candidates to all degree courses will be based on the Merit lists prepared by CENTAC.
