Registration Number Of Vehicle
Registration Number of Vehicle consists of metal or plastic plate which is attached to the motor vehicle for official identification purposes. It is the numeric or alphanumeric that uniquely identifies the vehicle within the issued region’s database. In some countries the identifier is unique within the entire country while in other areas it is unique within the state or province.
The Registration Number of Vehicle is also known as license plate, a number plate or tag. Most governments require a registration plate to be attached in both the front and rear of the vehicle. It is important to drive the motor vehicle and no owner of motor vehicle can allow or permit to use the unregistered vehicle. There is a separate registration number for all the vehicles and the individuals can claim that it is their vehicle with the help of this.
The dealers of motor vehicle should not deliver unregistered vehicle to the purchaser and it should be registered by the Regional Transport Officer (RTO). Three types of registration with RTO are,
Temporary registration,
Registration of new vehicle,
Also registration of vehicle from the out state or assignment of new registration mark.
Registration Number of Vehicle should be done by submitting all the forms and certificates and also produce the vehicle for the inspection to RTO. The regional transport office introduces the new Vahan software to get Registration Number of Vehicle. They send the numbers through SMS.
This new software was developed by the National Informatics Center (NIC) which makes the entire process of vehicle registration to be computerized. This software is linked to the RTO office and so they will track the data about the vehicle sold etc through online. Once the data is received the registration numbers will be allotted through computer and sent via SMS to buyers.
