St. Josephs College of Engineering Chennai

St. Josephs college of Engineering is situated in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. The college has been established in the year 1987 and is run by a private trust namely St. Josephs Education Trust. The college has also been credited with NBA and AICTE certificates.

Courses offered in St. Josephs college of Engineering

The college offers both bachelor level as well as master level courses in different streams of Engineering. It has 60 seats for Electronics Engineering, 60 Seats for Mechanical Engineering, 60 seats for Electrical Engineering, 40 seats for Electronic and Tele-Communication Engineering and 60 seats for Civil Engineering. The college also offers master level degree in Computer Application.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria of St. Josephs College of Engineering

The aspirants have to appear for a written entrance exam. Only those candidates who have secured the minimum cut-off marks as decided by the board of college are called for interview or counseling. The selected students are then given admission on the final marks basis.

The aspirants must be a citizen of India. Bachelor level aspirants have to secure a minimum of 45% marks in their Higher Secondary Examination. The aspirants who want to pursue master level course have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in their B.Tech program course. The aspirants can be a minimum of 18 years of age and a maximum of 23 years as on the date of entrance exam.
