Subrata Pal

Subrata Paul (often referred to as Subrata Paul) is an indian footballer. Born on the 24th December 1986, Paul is the current goalkeeper of the national squad. Subrata has immense talent and athleticism as a keeper and this has reflected on his performances. He played football with the TATA football academy after which he was selected to play for the famous club Mohun Bagan. Good performances and lack of competition saw subrata get selected in the national squad. Subrata was also seen involved in the controversial death of brazilian striker and dempo player Cristiano Junior.

Subrata Pal Career

Subrata paul made his debut in august 2007 in the nehru cup. This was his first international competition and it ultimately proved to be india's most sucessful triumph. His saves against kazaksthan in the semis were noted. Bhaichung bhutia was all praise for this young goalkeeper. Subrata made some fine saves in the finals too against syria alongwith defender <a href="/node/64103">mahesh gawli</a> that helped india win the cup.
